Proposition 19 California and Tax Savings

On April 1, the Proposition 19 tax portability provisions went into effect.

Proposition 19 provides potential tax benefits to homeowners who are 55 years or older, severely disabled, or a victim of a natural disaster, who are purchasing a new primary residence anywhere in California.
