Pending Home Sales Top Seven Month High

With a little summer slip in home prices, August saw a new seven month high in home sales. If you are searching for the best neighborhoods in Pleasanton or you're a buyer considering the unique Ruby Hill Neighborhood then you have felt the 2021 surge.

Nationally it is no different as N.A.R.'s index of pending home sales increased 8.1% from a month earlier to 119.5, the first advance in three months. In a recent Bloomberg survey of economists the median estimate was an advance of 1.4%.

“Rising inventory and moderating price conditions are bringing buyers back to the market,” Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist, said in a statement. “Affordability, however, remains challenging as home price gains are roughly three times wage growth.”
